Job summary

Ford and Slater is seeking a Nightshift HGV Technician for our Spalding dealership. The role focuses on servicing, diagnosing faults and preparing vehicles for MOTs during night shifts with a supportive training environment.

The ideal candidate will have HGV experience, a full UK driving licence, and a willingness to train and progress within a family-run dealer group. Comprehensive benefits and overtime incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Technician/Mechanic in HGV/Commercial Vehicles or related sector.
• Willingness to train for HGV Technician role if coming from light commercial/car.
• Ideally completed an apprenticeship or recognised training program.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks/Vehicles.
• Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs following manufacturer procedures.
• Road test vehicles when required (licence permitting).
