Job summary

Ford and Slater are recruiting for a Nightshift HGV Technician at our Spalding dealership. You will service and maintain a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles, carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs, and diagnose faults.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work alternate weeks on night shift (7:30pm–6am). We offer training, overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 qualification in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as a Technician/Mechanic in HGV or related sectors.
• Ability to diagnose faults to manufacturers' standards.
• Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
• Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
• Fault diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer procedures.
• Road test vehicle when required (subject to licence).
