Job summary

Culina Group Limited is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver for our Swadlincote hub. This secure, full-time role supports day operations and keeps freight moving across the country.

You will operate LPG counterbalance forklifts, record movements, and work closely with Team Leaders to meet targets. Overtime and bonus opportunities accompany a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence (RTITB or equivalent) and at least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Experience with gas or diesel counterbalance trucks preferred; electric trucks also considered.
• Good literacy and numeracy to support paperwork and freight handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, flexible, team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LPG counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, move, and organise palletised freight.
• Record freight movements using forklift-mounted scanning for traceability.
• Follow site procedures for labelling, scanning, and placement of goods.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to meet daily targets and maintain safety.
• Perform daily pre-use checks and report faults promptly.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with standards.
• Support hub activities such as freight checks and bay organisation.

This is a secure, full-time, permanent opportunity within a fast-paced, professional environment where your forklift skills will play a key part in our daily operation.

Shift: Monday to Friday Nights, flexible start and finish times required. 8.5 hours, 30 min break between 18:00 & 06:00.

Salary: £17.09 per hour plus bonus earning potential of up to £3400 per year

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

• Safely operate LPG counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and organise palletised freight.
• Use forklift-mounted scanning technology to accurately record freight movements and support full traceability across the network.
• Handle goods with care and accuracy, following site scanning, labelling, and placement procedures.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, proactively identifying and reporting risks or unsafe practices.
• Complete daily pre-use checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with company standards.
• Support wider hub activity when required, including freight checks, bay organisation, and general operational support.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• A valid forklift licence, RTITB or equivalent, ideally with at least one year’s experience.
• Experience operating gas or diesel counterbalance trucks is preferred, although electric truck experience will also be considered.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills to support accurate paperwork and freight handling.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• A reliable, flexible, and team-focused approach.
