Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting experienced Forklift Operators to join a leading palletised freight distributor based in Wolverhampton.

With a brand-new, purpose-built facility, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation and secure a long-term position with a company that invests in its people.

This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity, giving you the chance to prove yourself and move into a permanent role with excellent additional benefits.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a busy, high-volume distribution hub, you’ll play a key role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading double-decker trailers
• Operating within a fast-paced hub with 70+ forklifts
• Moving palletised freight safely and efficiently
• Ensuring freight is loaded with correct and safe weight distribution
• Carrying out all duties in line with Health & Safety procedures
• Reporting any freight or equipment damage
• Supporting the wider warehouse operation with additional duties when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• An in-date accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• At least 2 years’ forklift experience
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse or distribution environment
• Hands-on experience loading and unloading double-decker trailers within a network environment

SHIFT PATTERN & PAY

Monday to Friday

Start: 19:00–19:30
Finish: 04:30–05:00
Shift length: 9 hours
Pay: £15.12 per hour
