Job summary

First Bus Slough Depot in Slough, Berkshire, is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for nightshift to lead the maintenance team and oversee the fleet's servicing. You will allocate planned and unplanned work, drive improvements in reliability, and support the Engineering Manager while developing team talent.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical field, be IT literate, and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical field.
• Knowledge of safe operation of workshop equipment.
• Previous supervisory experience, or readiness to take a step up.
• Organised and IT literate.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and servicing of the Slough fleet.
• Allocate planned and unplanned work across the team.
• Develop talent within the team and conduct disciplinary/absence reviews.
• Work with depot Operations and Stores to ensure fleet availability and performance.
