Job summary

First Bus in Slough is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a nightshift maintenance team at our Slough Depot. You will supervise servicing, allocate work, and drive fleet reliability in coordination with the Engineering Manager.

Candidate must have an NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical field, be IT literate, and hold a UK driving licence. Prior supervisory experience is desirable; REME or other automotive backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical field.
• Knowledge of safe operation of workshop equipment.
• Previous supervisory experience, or ready to take the next step.
• Organised and IT literate.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and servicing of the Slough fleet in support of the Engineering Manager.
• Allocate planned and unplanned work across the team to ensure vehicle availability.
• Develop talent within the team and participate in disciplinary, grievance or absence reviews.
• Work alongside depot Operations and Stores to manage fleet reliability and depot relationships.
