Job summary

Booker in Norwich is seeking a Nightshift Co-Ordinator to manage a busy branch, lead the night team, and ensure strong on-shelf availability for customers.

The role offers progression opportunities across the Booker Group with potential movement into Store Management roles. The operation runs 5/7 days with branch opening times varying by location.

Qualifications

• Leadership and coaching abilities to drive a team.
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a retail or grocery environment is desirable.
• Proven ability to maintain high on-shelf availability and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Co‑ordinate nightshift activity and support the night supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and company procedures at all times.
• Reduce stock loss by minimizing shrinkage and waste.
• Improve replenishment efficiency to maintain product availability.
• Collaborate with stock control and delivery teams to resolve off-sales issues.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nightshift Co-Ordinator to help manage one of our busy branches. A challenging role that will need leadership and drive as you coach your team to deliver great on shelf availability for our valued customers. Keeping your teamfocused on delivering great results and working in a safe mannerwill be key.The role may involve some duty managementwhere full training will be given.

You will be responsible for

Working alongside the nightshift supervisor and in their absence you will be responsible for

• Ensure that the team comply with legal standards and company procedures at all times.


• Reduce stock loss by challenging causes of shrinkage and wastage


• Reduce replenishment costs, by ensuring stock is handled efficiently at all times, products have appropriate space for rate of sale and accuracy and security in the goods receiving department


• Work with the stock control and delivery teams to resolve causes of off-sales


• Effective replenishment to ensure that the branch maintains availability for our customers

You will need

To be successful in this role your skills and experience will include:

Passionate about providing exceptional operations standards for our customers

Flexible, adaptable and enjoys working with, as well as, managing a team

An excellent communicator and have some experience in supervising or managing a team.

Practical experience in the food retail trade.
