Job summary

Booker in Cardiff is seeking a Nightshift Co-Ordinator to guide a busy branch on night shifts. You will coach the team to deliver strong on-shelf availability for customers, while maintaining safe practices and following training. There may be occasional duty management duties.

There are real progression opportunities within the Booker Group, with many Supervisors moving into Store Management roles. The branch operates 5/7 days with varying opening times by branch.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team or shift-based teams.
• Experience supervising during night shifts preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the nightshift team to deliver on-shelf availability.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and company procedures.
• Reduce stock loss by addressing shrinkage and wastage, and manage replenishment.
• Collaborate with stock control and delivery teams to resolve off-sale issues.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nightshift Co-Ordinator to help manage one of our busy branches. A challenging role that will need leadership and drive as you coach your team to deliver great on shelf availability for our valued customers. Keeping your teamfocused on delivering great results and working in a safe mannerwill be key.The role may involve some duty managementwhere full training will be given.

You will be responsible for

Working alongside the nightshift supervisor and in their absence you will be responsible for

• Ensure that the team comply with legal standards and company procedures at all times.
• Reduce stock loss by challenging causes of shrinkage and wastage
• Reduce replenishment costs, by ensuring stock is handled efficiently at all times, products have appropriate space for rate of sale and accuracy and security in the goods receiving department
• Work with the stock control and delivery teams to resolve causes of off-sales
• Effective replenishment to ensure that the branch maintains availability for our customers

You will need

To be successful in this role your skills and experience will include:

Passionate about providing exceptional operations standards for our customers

Flexible, adaptable and enjoys working with, as well, managing a team

An excellent communicator and have some experience in supervising or managing a team.

Practical experience in the food retail trade.
