Job summary

Meallmore Ltd is seeking a Nightshift Care Assistant in Crimond House, Fraserburgh, Scotland. The role involves helping residents with daily living tasks, providing companionship and ensuring high standards of care during night shifts.

You will support residents’ independence, monitor health conditions, and engage them in physical and social activities. SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred, with funding available to achieve it. Ongoing development is encouraged.

Qualifications

Nightshift Care Assistant

Salary: £13.45 - £13.50per hour (depending on experience)

Hours:36 hours per week

As a Care Assistant with Meallmore you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, with washing, dressing, mealtimes and all other aspects of daily living.

• Promoting residents' independence and well-being.

• Monitoring residents' health conditions, liaising with relatives and colleagues.

• Supporting residents in physical and social activities, getting to know their interests, and needs so they can lead their best life possible, by understanding what means most to them as an individual.

What we are looking for

• You'll need to have a naturally caring and kind nature.

• Have excellent communication and time management skills.

• Patience and empathy when dealing with challenging situations.

• The ability to work well on your own or as part of a team.

Ideally you will have an SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care, but don’t worry if you don’t, we will fully fund and support you to achieve this.
