Job summary

Meallmore in Inverness is seeking a Night shift Care Assistant to provide 24-hour personalised care in a private care home. You will support residents, assist with daily activities and work to Meallmore standards and SSSC codes of practice.

The role offers mentorship, development opportunities and options for full or part-time night shifts with overtime rates, staff benefits and pension contributions. Flexible progression paths exist within the team.

Qualifications

• Willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care is desirable.
• Good communication and rapport-building skills.
• Kind, caring nature and a passion for quality care.

Responsibilities

• To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans.
• To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
• To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards.
• To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
• Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
• Carry out personal care duties.

Our Meallmore team at Culduthel are ready to warmly welcome you as a Night shift Care Assistant within their care home. Located in Inverness, Culduthel offers a choice of modern, luxury private ensuite rooms and executive suites that include all modern conveniences and are fully accessible. We provide the highest quality 24 hour personalised nursing care for older people, including the frail elderly and those living with dementia and its related conditions.

Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be as a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner, the choice is yours!

If you’re not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register to the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), Mealluthel will support you with this process.

Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:

Salary:£13.50 per hour+ overtime rates + benefits
