Job summary

Exemplar Health Care’s The Lodge learning disability service in Swallownest is seeking a Registered Learning Disability Nurse for night shifts. This part-time role (18 hours/week) requires a first-level NMC-registered nurse with a valid PIN, to provide high-quality, person-centred care in a home environment.

You will be part of a supportive team, with opportunities for training and progression, and will work as Nurse in Charge on shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have current NMC registration with a valid PIN.

Responsibilities

• assessing, planning and providing person-centred nursing care for adults with complex needs
• the safe administration of medication
• promoting health and wellbeing
• being the Nurse in Charge of the home
• ensuring care plans reflect the needs of the people supported
• managing situations when behaviours which challenge arise
• promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.
