Job summary

MHA invites applications for a Registered Nurse (Nights) based at Ty Gwyn, Penarth. You will lead an allocated team, oversee care delivery and support the management team to ensure safe, person-centred care in line with MHA’s standards.

You will provide high-quality nursing care, develop care plans with residents and families, manage medications safely, and supervise staff while promoting compassionate, professional practice across shifts including nights.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC PIN.
• Experience supervising, training and supporting care staff.
• Good IT skills and ability to use electronic care systems.
• Flexible approach to shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience with older people is desirable but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high-quality nursing care.
• Supervise care staff during shifts and support professional practice.
• Oversee medication management, storage and documentation.
• Contribute to training, supervision and development of staff.
• Engage with residents, families and external professionals.
