Job summary

Mitie Group plc. at Bluewater is seeking a Host for detailed internal and external cleaning to the highest standards. You will work in a collaborative team with daily tasks aligned to schedule and client expectations, and you will be the visible face of Mitie, delivering excellent service to guests.

Follow health and safety rules, wear PPE as required, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Prior experience in a retail/venue setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant job experience, preferably in an internal retail environment.
• Health and safety training and understanding of the principles.
• Experience following processes and using own initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external detailed cleaning to the highest standards as scheduled.
• Ensure external welcome hall entrances are dust, grime and algae free.
• Be the professional representative of Mitie at Bluewater at all times.
• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction across all service areas.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.

Job description

• The role will require that you can work as part of a Team of Hosts who which are responsible for maintaining all of the Internal and External detailed cleaning which will include high level areas to the high standards expected. Close co-operation with others is essential when working within the Department as is the capacity to work responsibly as an individual to complete given tasks. Your daily and weekly tasks are assigned to ensure that the Department meets its scheduled requirements and Client expectations. You will be the visible face of Bluewater thus you are expected to provide all our Guests with the very best level of service ensuring an enjoyable and memorable visit to Bluewater, To ensure that the all Internal high level features are dust free as per the cleaning schedule.
• To ensure that all detailed cleaning in completed within the scheduled time frame.
• To ensure that the external welcome hall entrances are dust, grime and algae free as per the cleaning schedule.
• To be the professional representative of Mitie at the centre at all times
• To achieve high levels of customer satisfaction across all areas of our service to customers at the centre
• To achieve continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of our services and in customer satisfaction
• To comply with Health & Safety at work regulations, fire regulations, and safe working practices
• To maintain a friendly professional manner with all Guests, Clients, and Management at all times according to the high standard expected
• Be responsible to comply with health and safety at work requirements, Fire Regulations, COSHH Regulations and safe working practices, including the use of prescribed protective clothing or equipment
• To comply with ISO 14001 Environmental Procedures
• To work as part of a multi-skilled team, responding to calls from the Helpdesk, Control Room, Supervisors / Management
• To ensure you are correctly dressed in accordance with the Styling Guide
• Actively participate in delivering the Guest Service Experience at Bluewater
• To participate in ensuring that Bluewater is a safe and non-threatening environment for all Guests
• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying out your duties
• Undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during the course of your working shift
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and Company policy.
• To operate machinery as instructed and trained in a safe and responsible manner
