Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team at Brooklands Care Home, Old Swan, Liverpool. Working Nights 8pm-8am with every other weekend involved, 36-hour contract.

Brooklands is a residential care home catering for up to 43 residents, specializing in dementia care. Our aim is to ensure all residents feel comfortable, promoting independence, dignity, and respect through positive risk-taking and empowerment.

Please note - There is a genuine occupational requirement for female applicants only, as you will be supporting females.

About the Role:

As Care Assistant, you will assist in the running of the Home, maintaining high standards of care and service towards residents, relatives, visitors, and staff. You will provide personal and practical care to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy in caring for older people, through previous social care roles or other roles.
• Be self-motivated, resilient, and well-organized.
• Be dependable, work well under pressure, and be flexible to meet the needs of residents and the Home.

Skills and Experience:

• Caring and sensitive to others' needs.
• Committed to service excellence.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide emotional and social support.
• Committed to high standards of care, dignity, and respect.
• NVQ Level 2 in health and social care is desirable.
