Job Opportunity: Care Assistant at Dovehaven Care Homes

Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team at Garden Lodge Residential Home, Netherley, Liverpool. The position involves working NIGHTS, 7am-7pm, with every other weekend, and a 33-hour contract.

About Garden Lodge: It is a residential care home accommodating up to 48 residents, divided into two units, including a dementia care unit. Our goal is to ensure residents feel comfortable, promoting independence, dignity, and respect through positive risk-taking and empowerment.

Role Overview:

As a Care Assistant, you will support the running of the home, maintaining high standards of care for residents, relatives, visitors, and staff. Your duties include providing personal and practical care to our residents.

Note: There is a genuine occupational requirement for female applicants only, as you will be supporting female residents.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy in caring for older people, through previous social care roles or other experiences.
• Be self-motivated, resilient, and well-organized.
• Dependable, able to work under pressure, and flexible to meet residents' and the home's needs.

Skills and Experience:

• Caring and sensitive to others' needs.
• Committed to service excellence.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide emotional and social support.
• Dedication to high standards of care, dignity, and respect.
• NVQ Level 2 in health and social care is desirable.
