Job summary

Depaul UK in Lambeth is seeking a Night Homelessness Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to young people affected by homelessness, helping them build skills, confidence and independence.

You will work nights in a supportive environment, manage risk, promote wellbeing and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure safety and a nurturing atmosphere. This is a full-time, permanent role offering 37.5 hours per week and comprehensive development opportunities.

• Experience of working in a busy support or care environment.
• Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
• Experience of operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.
• Ability to lone-work and be proactive.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of the environment through risk assessments and checks.
• Safeguard and support clients, maintaining wellbeing at all times.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to support clients' wellbeing.
• Prepare accommodation for new clients and help them settle in.
• Attend training and team meetings as required.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth service operations.
• Undertake duties in line with Depaul Policies and Procedures.
