Job summary

AO is looking for a Nights Team Leader to join our Stoke-on-Trent operations. You will work a 4 on/4 off shift pattern from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, totaling 40.25 hours per week, with a salary of £32,420.57 per year.

This full time, permanent role offers the chance to develop in a fast growing appliance retailer. You will monitor operatives’ performance, ensure correct handling, complete investigations, assist with HR processes, manage site cleanliness, and help upskill your team.

Qualifications

• Have a good understanding of safe loading and manual handling techniques.
• Experience supporting and training new starters, especially around Safe Systems of Work and key Health & Safety basics.
• Clear, confident communication, sharing priorities, giving great handovers, and keeping operations flowing.
• A hands on team player, who can organize tasks, support colleagues, and get stuck in.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of work that operatives carry out and manage performance.
• Ensure products are handled correctly and in line with manual handling guidelines.
• Complete investigations and rectify any possible discrepancies.
• Take responsibility for administration duties, where needed.
• Provide support with HR functions such as disciplinary meeting fairly and consistently.
• Be responsible for the site’s cleanliness and maintenance.
• Keep track of your team’s performance and be able to offer upskilling opportunities.
