British Veterinary LGBT+ in Brighton is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a part-time night position. You will manage a large night caseload in a state-of-the-art hospital, working alongside a dedicated Night Nurse and support team to deliver high-quality care.

This role is integral to the growing medicine and emergency team, managing a large caseload from various branches and subscribing practices. The position is ideal for a team player with a keen interest in Emergency and Critical Care, who is approachable and experienced.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Sole charge with full ward handover to ensure optimal communication
• Rota: 4 nights on, 20 nights off (shift: 7pm - 9am)
• Collaborate with a highly experienced Night Nurse and Animal Nursing Assistant
• Manage the care of exotic inpatients during night shifts
• Opportunity for additional shifts to cover holidays

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience in Emergency and Critical Care

The hospital boasts state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including eight consulting rooms, dedicated wards for different species, three theatres, a CT suite, a dental suite, and a full in‑house lab with a dedicated technician. The team includes multiple certificate holders and specialists in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics, ensuring a rich environment for learning and development.

Located in the vibrant and diverse city of Brighton, the hospital is just a short walk from the town centre and the beautiful seafront. The South Downs National Park is nearby, offering plenty of outdoor activities. Excellent travel links make it easy to reach London and Gatwick Airport.

The role comes with a competitive salary of £32,500 - £35,850 (based on 16.38 hours per week) and a fantastic range of benefits, including:
