Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Chester is seeking an experienced Out of Hours Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated ECC team. The role offers a part-time, annualised hours pattern with an average of 28 hours per week in Chester.

You will work 4 on, 7 off patterns with 7pm–8am shifts, delivering emergency and critical care for small animals alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team. The salary is competitive, up to £83,200 FTE, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-graduate ECC experience.
• Strong medical and surgical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ECC environment.
• Excellent client service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency presentations and critical care cases.
• Provide inpatient care and emergency surgical services.
• Work with on-call referral clinicians for support.
• Deliver a calm, reassuring client experience.
