Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Chester is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our out-of-hours emergency team. The role focuses on emergency care, critical care, and on-call surgeries for small animals, with shifts from 7pm to 8am and an average of 28 hours per week.

You'll be part of a dedicated ECC service at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists, in a modern, fully equipped environment with access to advanced diagnostics and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with ECC interest or experience.
• Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in emergency care.
• Strong client communication and teamwork to support on-call nights.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency and critical care cases during out-of-hours shifts.
• Perform urgent surgeries and medical workups as needed.
• Deliver a calm, reassuring experience for clients during challenging moments.
