Job summary

Abivale Vets in Abingdon is seeking a permanent night veterinary surgeon to join our 24-hour emergency team. The role focuses on emergency and critical care with a 7 on 14 off rota, nights, supported by a night RVN to uphold high standards of patient and client care at our Abingdon site.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree with RCVS registration and significant small or mixed animal surgical experience.
• Proven track record mentoring and supporting veterinary colleagues.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage complex clinical cases and patient care decisions.
• Mentor and guide junior vets and RVNs during night shifts.
