Job summary

North London-based independent 24/7 veterinary clinic is seeking an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated overnight team. You will handle emergency consultations, stabilise critical cases, and provide overnight inpatient care with strong RVN support.

The role offers a generous rota (7 nights on / 14 nights off), modern facilities including CT, ultrasound and X-ray, and genuine clinical autonomy within a supportive, ethical practice.

Qualifications

• MRCVS registered and confident with emergency/out-of-hours work.
• Experience managing emergency cases and inpatient care.
• Ability to make autonomous decisions overnight with guidance from experienced team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency consultations and overnight care.
• Stabilise medical and surgical emergencies in the night shift.
• Coordinate handovers with daytime team to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilise advanced diagnostics and surgical facilities as needed.
