Job summary

General All-Purpose Plastics (GAP) Ltd in Blackburn is seeking a Production Operative for the night shift. You will measure, cut and assemble uPVC profiles using CNC and saw machines, reinforce frames and attach handles, then bead and glaze windows while maintaining safe handling and quality standards.

The role offers a night shift pattern (Sun-Thu 10pm–6am) with overtime paid at time and a half and a starting hourly salary of £12.75 plus shift allowance.

Qualifications

Experience in fabrication, assembly and machine operation.
Experience in manufacturing environments.
Willingness to work night shift and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Measuring and cutting uPVC profiles using CNC / saw machine.
Reinforcing and welding the window frames.
Attaching handles and mechanisms using hand & air tools.
Beading and glazing the windows.
Window frame handling, storage, and loading using safe manual handling.
Carry out assigned tasks diligently and with close attention to detail.
