Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Night Transport Supervisor to take ownership of the night-time transport operations at a busy site in Sandy. The role runs a 4 on/4 off night shift with immediate start and a temp-to-perm pathway.

You will coordinate drivers, vehicles and routes to ensure deliveries depart safely and on schedule. In this hands-on position you’ll make real-time decisions, support drivers, monitor performance, and maintain clear transport records, while working closely

Qualifications

• Experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours, WTD and tachograph compliance.
• Experience coordinating or supervising drivers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• Good IT skills and experience using transport or route-planning systems.
• Calm, practical approach when things don’t go to plan.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drivers, vehicles and routes to meet daily delivery schedules.
• Making real-time decisions to deal with delays, absence and operational changes.
• Briefing and debriefing drivers at the beginning and end of their runs.
• Monitoring routes and driver performance throughout the night.
• Ensuring compliance with Working Time Directive, drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Managing and investigating tachograph infringements.
• Responding quickly to incidents, breakdowns and delivery issues.
• Maintaining accurate transport and incident records.
• Working closely with warehouse teams, drivers, contractors and customers.
• Monitoring KPIs, SLAs, fuel efficiency and overall transport performance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and day-to-day operations.

Sandy | £17.30ph | 4 on / 4 off | Temp to Perm | Immediate Start

Are you an experienced transport professional who enjoys taking control of a busy shift and keeping everything running to plan?

We're looking for a Night Transport Supervisor to take ownership of night-time transport operations for a busy site in Sandy.

Working a 4 on / 4 off night shift, you'll be at the centre of the operation — coordinating drivers and vehicles, responding to issues as they happen and making sure deliveries leave safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on role where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, support your drivers and keep the operation moving.

What You'll Be Doing

As Night Transport Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of the night shift, including:

What We're Looking For

You'll be a confident and organised transport professional who is comfortable taking responsibility for a busy night operation.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours, WTD and tachograph compliance
• Experience coordinating or supervising drivers
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• The confidence to make decisions in a fast-moving environment
• Good IT skills and experience using transport or route-planning systems
• A calm, practical approach when things don't go to plan
