Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics is seeking a Transport Shift Manager for a night shift in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The role oversees the transport operation, briefs drivers, and replans routes to maintain on-time deliveries while ensuring compliance with Drivers’ Hours and DVSA requirements.

You will coordinate vehicle checks, manage KPI performance, and hand over a detailed briefing to the next day team. Training opportunities including CPC are available.

Qualifications

• Wants CPC or equivalent, knowledge of transport regs and safety standards.
• Desire for logistics qualification or CPC training emphasized.
• Knowledge of road transport regulations and tachograph rules desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the transport operation during the night shift.
• Brief drivers with clear instructions before starting work.
• Monitor vehicles and deliveries, identify delays, and replan as needed.
• Maintain communication with customers about delays and revised arrivals.
• Ensure paperwork and records are completed accurately.
