Job summary

Hayward Transport in Liverpool is seeking a detail‑oriented Transport Planner to join the night shift, working 16:00–02:00 or 18:00–04:00 or 21:00–07:00 on a rota, full time. You will manage the plan, make live amendments and coordinate with drivers and customers to meet delivery targets.

The ideal candidate has container planning experience, strong English, and solid IT skills including TOPS, VBS, Excel and Word. Join a team that values accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in container transport planning is desirable.
• Proficient in English for effective communication.
• Experience with TOPS and VBS; strong customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated leadership with teamwork.
• Strong IT skills and adaptability.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver night shift plan with live amendments to meet delivery targets.
• Analyse data to identify trends and inform logistics decisions.
• Maintain relationships with customers and drivers; address concerns.
• Use TOPS, VBS, Excel and Word to maintain records and generate reports.
• Lead initiatives to improve transport efficiency.
• Coordinate with departments for smooth operations.
• Provide thorough handovers to Day shift teams.
• Uphold company values of honesty, transparency and unity.
• Make real-time decisions to resolve delays.
