Job summary

Maritime Transport Ltd. is seeking a Night Transport Operator for the Doncaster depot on a 4 on 4 off shift. This role focuses on coordinating drivers, communicating with ports and managing delivery slots to ensure on-time arrivals.

You will log driver times using TOPS, chase ETAs and verify PODs, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Operator – Essential.
• Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal.
• Must be happy to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge.
• Can work on own initiative.
• Quick and efficient problem solving skills.
• Organised at all times.
• Flexibility to meet the demands of the business.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with multiple drivers.
• Communicating with ports.
• Booking delivery slots for entry in ports.
• Using the TOPS transport system for logging start and finish times.
• Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring timeliness.
• Ensuring PODs match with jobs on the system.
• Informing customers about delays and possible issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Dealing with multiple drivers
• Communicating with ports
• Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
• Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
• Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on timeRerouting jobs as and when is needed
