More about the role:

In addition to Night Care Assistant duties, your role will include:

• supporting and assisting the Deputy and Home Manager by providing leadership to the care team;
• acting as the senior person on duty at night in the absence of the Deputy Manager and informing the Home Manager of any problems or concerns related to the Home;
• acting as a role model and setting the standard for staff in person-centred care;
• providing support to night care staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity;
• delegating tasks fairly to all team members and assisting them to complete tasks in a timely manner;
• acting within the care team and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, supervising, supporting, and assisting in the induction and training of care staff.

Essential requirements for the role:

• experience supporting people in a caring environment and understanding the needs of older people;
• a minimum of two years' experience in the care sector;
• experience in writing, reviewing, and recording care plans;
• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent;
• ability to motivate and inspire confidence and enthusiasm in residents and staff;
• ability to provide coaching and guidance to care staff;
• ability to lead and supervise;
• ability to prioritize own workload and that of others;
• knowledge of care legislation and guidance.

Hours of work: 36 or 24 hours per week, shifts are 8pm - 8am.
