Job summary

Witherslack Group is recruiting night support workers to help vulnerable young people in our Children's Homes. You'll be there through the night to support, build trust and help them feel safe and move towards a positive future.

No prior experience required, but we value a can-do attitude, empathy and resilience, plus a full UK driving licence. We offer a four-week Care Academy induction and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-time support to young people, building rapport and trust.
• Assist with paperwork, cleaning and laundry as needed.

Our homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and our aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in our care. Our night support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things.

You’ll take care of the home and our young people through the night. There will be times when a young person wakes up in the middle of the night dealing with severe trauma, feeling ill, upset or just unable to sleep -having someone there that understands them and provide support in that moment can make a huge difference. Building a rapport and becoming someone our young people can trust in their time of need is what we are looking for. In quieter times we will need you to take care of tasks around the home such as paper work, cleaning and laundry.
