Job summary

Serenita Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to deliver person-centred care in a specialist complex setting. You will support residents with daily routines, including personal care, mobility and mealtimes, promoting independence with safety and dignity.

Working closely with the team, you will follow individual care plans, respond to changing needs and help maintain a calm, supportive environment.

Job description

Serenita Care Home is a well established service in Weston-super-Mare, set within a characterful Victorian residence close to the seafront. Supporting up to 34 residents, the home provides specialist care for individuals with mental health conditions, including alcohol related brain damage and Korsakoff’s syndrome, within a structured, supportive and independence focused environment.

Support Worker Contract
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 48 hours per week
  • Two Weeks rolling rota, Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday. Week2 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality, person centred support within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.

You will support residents with daily routines, including personal care, mobility and mealtimes, helping to maintain independence while ensuring safety, comfort and dignity at all times. You will respond sensitively to changing needs, contributing to a calm, stable and supportive environment.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans, support structured routines and help maintain a consistent and well organised setting. You will build positive relationships with residents, contributing to a safe and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and confidence.

This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care who are willing to learn and develop within a specialist setting.
