Job summary

Prime Life is seeking a Night Support Worker to join our friendly team at Brackendale House in Sheringham. This role offers full or part-time hours with comprehensive training provided and opportunities to learn and progress with the support of our Quality Matters team.

You will support 14 residents with learning disabilities and mental health conditions, provide companionship, assist with personal care, and help residents participate in daily living activities while promoting independence and

Qualifications

  • Genuine caring nature and a desire to support residents.
  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
  • Respectful of residents with diverse abilities and needs.
  • Experience with mental health conditions or learning disabilities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support during night hours.
  • Assist residents with daily living decisions and personal care as needed.
  • Help residents prepare for bed and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep.
  • Promote independence in meals and activities where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to implement care plans.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Support Worker, on a full or part time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

This role will be based at Brackendale House in Sheringham. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 14 residents, living with a range of learning disabilities and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Night Support Worker include:
  • Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
  • Providing companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support
  • Assisting residents to participate in any decisions relating to their daily living arrangements
  • Assisting residents with their with personal care and in undertaking recreational activities
  • Assisting residents to retire for the evening and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep
  • Promoting resident independence in the preparation of food and/or at mealtimes
  • Working with other professionals to provide individualised care and development plans
What we’re looking for in our Night Support Worker:

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Support worker or Care Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
