As an Intensive Needs Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing overnight support to individuals with complex needs. This position requires a compassionate and patient individual who can ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of those in our care during the night hours.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing dedicated support and assistance to individuals with intensive needs during the night shift.
2. Assisting with activities of daily living, including personal care, medication administration, and mobility support.
3. Ensuring the safety and security of individuals throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or incidents.
4. Conducting regular checks and monitoring to address any changes in health or behaviour.
5. Maintaining clear and accurate records of nightly activities, observations, and incidents.
6. Collaborating with daytime staff through effective communication, providing updates on overnight events and individual needs.
7. Providing emotional support and reassurance to individuals who may experience anxiety or distress during the night.
8. Fostering a calm and supportive environment to promote a sense of security.
9. Working collaboratively with other support workers, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar support worker role, especially in a night shift capacity.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field.
• Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with intensive support requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound judgments in emergency situations.

• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
