Second Nature is seeking a Night Supervisor to keep the property safe, secure, and welcoming during night hours. You’ll be the face guests see when they need something in the early hours, balancing attentiveness with efficiency and coordinating with housekeeping while supporting the Night Manager.
You’ll work independently on quiet shifts, read a room, respond to requests, monitor security, and help maintain guest care and safety throughout the night.
WHY SECOND NATURE Care, made daily.
Second Nature is part of Lamington Group. Hometel is a word Lamington Group created and owns. We design and run hometels, places that are practical but still feel good to stay in, built around how people actually travel and live. Feeling properly looked after matters too, so our teams pay attention to what guests actually need, not what a script tells them to do.
We’re looking for people who care about the work in front of them and the people around them. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
What’s the role about?
You are a Night Supervisor at Second Nature. During night hours, you’re part of the core team keeping the property safe, secure, and welcoming. You’re one of the faces guests see if they need something in the early hours.
You balance being attentive with being efficient. You keep an eye on the building, respond to guest requests, coordinate with housekeeping, and support the Night Manager. You’re trusted to act on your own when issues come up, knowing when to sort it yourself and when to elevate.
You’re an essential part of our night operations. You understand the importance of guest safety, building security, and supporting your team. You work with calm professionalism, knowing your presence during these quiet hours makes a real difference to guests and to the property.
Five things we hire for.
These are the Second Nature values. We use them across every role in the Group, from Maintenance to Front of House to the kitchens. If three or more of these sound like you on a good day, this is your kind of place.
Use Instinct. A guest knocks on the door at 2am, stressed. You hear it in their voice and respond with calm. You sense housekeeping will be stretched tomorrow and brief the Night Manager on what they’ll need.
Own It. You don’t wait for the Night Manager to tell you what to do. You spot a maintenance issue and report it. You see a guest needs help and provide it. You take responsibility for the shift running smoothly.
Include All. Night shift is quieter, but you keep communication flowing and morale up. You support your team genuinely, and they feel valued because you’re present and actually interested in how they’re doing.
Stay Curious. You ask why the same maintenance issue keeps happening on night shift, and you think about how to prevent it. But you don’t get so caught up in solutions that you miss what’s happening right now.
Think Big. You’re part of the team that makes guests feel safe and cared for when the world’s quiet. Your attentiveness during these hours builds the trust that makes someone want to come back.
We don’t hire for a big hotel name on your CV. We can teach you the systems. We can’t teach you how to read a room.
On a good day, you might…
