Job summary

John Lewis Partnership's Waitrose is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to support our customers with a range of shop tasks, including stock replenishment and online order fulfilment, with flexibility to cover evenings and weekends on a part-time basis.

You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where DBS checks may be required; a flexible, team-oriented approach is essential to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver.
• Reducing wastage by product due diligence and markdowns to sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team including checkout support and Click & Collect orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
