Job summary

John Lewis Partnership’s Waitrose is hiring a Supermarket Assistant to join our branch team. This part-time role (18 hours) covers evenings and weekends, with shifts between 21:00 and 07:00, and supports stock, online orders, and customer service on the shop floor and at collection points.

You’ll bring strong communication and a willingness to help colleagues and customers, with a flexible approach to cover the branch needs. Experience in customer-facing roles is welcomed and valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Able to work evenings/weekends.
• Willingness to support stock and online orders.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment on the shop floor.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery/collection.
• Reducing wastage through product control and sell-by dates.
• Support wider shop team including checkout and Click & Collect.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
