Where will you work?
Redlands House is a large, detached home in Eastleigh, close to the town centre, five miles from Southampton. The home supports up to eight men and women of various ages with severe learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. People at the home have different levels of communication: some use Makaton, and others communicate with sounds, facial and body expressions and using objects of reference. Redlands has its own Activity Coordinator who creates a structured activity programme to enable ongoing personal development through a range of individual and group activities. There is transport for visits to leisure, recreational and educational activities in the community. The residents enjoy going to local fun fairs and zoos, and on boat rides around the Solent.
