Job summary

Choice Care in the East Midlands is seeking a Night Social Care Worker on a rota basis, including weekends. Training is provided free of charge and a clear career path is set from day one.

You will work with individuals to support personal care, daily activities, and records in a supportive home setting. All staff are encouraged to undertake a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and will receive comprehensive in-house training as part of your development.

Qualifications

  • Must have Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Willing to work shift patterns including weekends.
  • Patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and good communicator.
  • Experience in social care is welcome but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care needs of those we support.
  • Medication administration as directed by care plans.
  • Support participation in daily activities, hobbies or outings.
  • Follow care plan guidance and company policies.
  • Develop an open, honest, and respectful relationship with service users.
  • Maintain written and electronic daily records.
  • Attend and complete required training.

All Social Care Workers at this service must already have or commit to undertaking a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification.

Where will youwork?

This is one of three residential homes provided by Quality Care, our sister company in the East Midlands that supports individuals with high support needs including challenging behaviours. Quality Care is an established specialist care provider with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality support in family-style settings. Derwent View supports 19 adults in one property that is divided into 3 separate self-contained homes and is located in the Derwent area of the City of Derby, in a principally residential area.
