Job summary

Reading Industrial Pertemps is recruiting a reliable Night Shunter / Bus Cleaner for our busy Bracknell depot. You will help park and refuel buses, wash exteriors, clean interiors and keep depot operations running smoothly during the evening and night shift.

Requirements include a valid PCV licence or experience driving large vehicles, good physical fitness and stamina for manual work, and a reliable, flexible team player.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving and parking buses between depot yards.
• Liaising with operations and engineering teams to ensure vehicles are parked correctly.

• Sweeping, mopping and cleaning bus interiors.
• Ensuring buses are clean, tidy and ready for daily service.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Supporting the wider depot team with general duties.

Night Shunter / Bus Cleaner

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
Pay Rate: £17.36 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 17:30–01:00

We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Night Shunter / Bus Cleaner to join a busy bus depot in Bracknell.

As a Night Shunter / Bus Cleaner, you will play an important role in ensuring buses are safely parked, refuelled and cleaned ready for service. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Working as part of a small team, the Night Shunter / Bus Cleaner will help keep depot operations running smoothly throughout the evening and night.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely moving and parking buses between depot yards as a Night Shunter.
• Liaising with operations and engineering teams to ensure vehicles are parked correctly.
• Washing the exterior of buses and maintaining high cleaning standards.

Requirements

• A valid PCV licence or previous experience driving large vehicles is essential.
• Previous experience as a Night Shunter, Bus Cleaner or in a similar vehicle-related role would be beneficial.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to undertake manual work.
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
