Job summary

Arriva Rail London Ltd in Harlow is seeking a reliable Cleaner/Fueller/Shunter to keep buses clean, fueled and ready for service. You will clean buses, refuel them, move vehicles around the depot, and perform basic checks while following health and safety procedures.

The role is full-time with shifts 17:30–02:00, five days out of seven, in a busy depot environment. Experience in vehicle cleaning or related fields is desirable; valid UK driving licence is required, with PCV Category D preferred

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• PCV / Category D licence preferred, with training opportunities may be available.
• Experience in vehicle cleaning, fuelling, shunting, transport, logistics, warehouse, or industrial environments is desirable.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical duties.
• Flexible to shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean buses internally and externally to high standards for passengers and drivers.
• Sweep, mop, sanitise surfaces, clean windows and remove waste from vehicles.
• Refuel buses safely and efficiently following procedures.
• Move and position buses around the depot for cleaning, maintenance, fuelling and service prep.
• Carry out basic visual vehicle checks and report any damage or defects.
• Support depot and work area cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow health and safety procedures including safe use of cleaning products, fuel equipment and PPE.
