Job summary

InPost Ltd. in Northampton is seeking a Nights Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced team and oversee depot operations from 23:00 to 07:30, driving productivity and safety.

You will forecast staffing, plan rotas, ensure KPI delivery, and handover between shifts while collaborating with other departments to sustain excellent service. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with Outlook and Excel; a track record in logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a fast-paced Warehouse, Distribution or Logistics environment.
• Proven track record in people management and team motivation.
• Demonstrated ability to hit and surpass KPIs in a busy operation.
• A calm, focused approach to prioritising tasks under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and practical decision-making.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to meet productivity targets and customer deadlines.
• Forecast staffing needs, manage rotas and plan annual leave.
• Oversee warehouse processes including labelling and sortation.
• Produce detailed handover reports for the next Shift Manager.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Uphold company policies and a strong safety culture.
