Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in Glasgow is seeking a Night Shift Vehicle Technician for a four-night week role. You will join a busy Audi workshop, perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs, and benefit from accredited manufacturer training and EV training to support career progression.

The position offers an OTE of £43,100–£46,300 depending on experience, with a 40-hour week and night hours from 7:00 pm to 5:30 am.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Complete vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements.
• Undertake additional mechanical and electrical repairs when authorised.
• Carry out warranty repairs according to manufacturer procedures.
• Complete accurate job cards and paperwork.
• Conduct road tests to confirm repairs are completed.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency and health and safety.

The Role

As a Night Shift Vehicle Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable and roadworthy, delivering high standards of workmanship throughout the workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Completing vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements.
• Undertaking additional mechanical and electrical repairs once authorised.
• Carrying out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer procedures.
• Completing accurate and detailed job cards and all relevant paperwork.
• Conducting road tests to confirm repairs have been completed successfully.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency and health and safety.

About You

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
• Experience within a main dealership or independent garage.
• Confident carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
