AutoSkills is partnering with an Audi dealership in the Newcastle area to recruit a Vehicle Technician. You will service, maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest manufacturer standards, with structured salary progression and access to manufacturer training.

Offering uncapped earnings, an OTE of up to £39,730 and a base salary of £31,000–£34,000, the role also provides ongoing development and a clear career path within a modern workshop.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic in automotive industry.
• Experience in franchised dealership or independent garage is welcome.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work.
• Completing health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Carrying out repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Identifying additional work and reporting findings accurately.
• Completing workshop documentation and job cards.
• Collaborating with the workshop team to maximise efficiency.
• Deli vering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Hours: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am - 12:30pm

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role within the workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring every vehicle is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work
• Completing vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
• Carrying out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Identifying additional work and reporting findings accurately
• Completing workshop documentation and job cards
• Working collaboratively with the wider workshop team to maximise efficiency and productivity
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and first-class customer service

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic within the automotive industry
• Experience gained in either a franchised dealership or independent garage
• Strong servicing, maintenance, and diagnostic skills
• Previous Audi or Volkswagen Group experience is advantageous but not essential, as full manufacturer training will be provided
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
