Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician in Glasgow to join a leading main dealer group. The role involves servicing and maintaining vehicles, diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, and performing MOT testing if qualified.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license required.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Perform MOT testing duties if qualified.

My client is looking for a level 3 Vehicle Technician with 4+ years hands on experience & a full UK driving license

Vehicle Technician – Glasgow

Salary – Up to £47,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + £3,000 Productivity Bonus + Efficiency Bonus + Overtime OTE £56,656 DOE & Qualifications

Days– Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, Saturday mornings on a rota, 40 hours per week or choose a 4 day working ween (Mon – Thur or Tue – Fri, 42 hours per week)

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
• MOT license is beneficial but not essential
