Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking a Transport Team Manager for our West Thurrock depot. You will lead a team of drivers to ensure despatch and on-time deliveries, while coaching and mentoring staff to hit performance targets in a night-shift role (10pm–6am).

Qualifications

• Experience managing a transport or logistics team.
• Proven ability to drive performance and improve KPIs.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of drivers and supervise daily operations.
• Drive performance measures and mentor team to high standards.
• Conduct performance reviews and address underperformance.
• Manage sickness and absence and escalate as needed.
• Log driver infringements and ensure safety and compliance.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
