Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a dependable Night Shift Transport Porter for our Preston Distribution Centre. The role supports wholesale distribution across Europe, ensuring orders are sorted, routed, and loaded accurately for delivery.

You will work in a busy transport operation, maintaining safety and efficiency while following company procedures. 20 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday shifts 22:00–02:00 and 02:00–06:00.

Responsibilities

• Accurately check orders and totes against route documentation and drop sheets.
• Identify, record, and report any missing orders or totes to the Line Manager.
• Allocate orders and totes to the correct pallet or route cage.
• Prioritise orders according to vehicle departure schedules.
• Load vehicles safely and accurately in line with operational instructions.
• Ensure all bins, boxes, bags, pallets, and cages are handled and stored safely.
• Follow load security procedures to ensure goods remain secure during transit.
• Sort and organise empty totes in designated locations.
• Safely transfer orders to loading bays in preparation for dispatch.
• Carry out re-picks of missing orders when required.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site standards.
• Support with additional warehouse and transport tasks as directed by management.

Summary of Role Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Transport Porter to join our Preston Distribution Centre.
