Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Train Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene aboard trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff.

The role involves night shifts (11pm–5am) with weekends required, and it includes training such as Depot Track Safety (DTS) and a pre-employment medical/drug and alcohol test. Free travel to and from work on SWR trains is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
• You will have strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train.
• Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials.
