About Us

Founded in the 1940s, Stuarts has gone from humble beginnings to a thriving multi-service family business. We have expanded exponentially and boast automotive and vehicular services covering the whole of Devon and Cornwall.

We are now looking for an HGV Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 10:45pm - 07:15am.

The Role

As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will supervise a team of 4 to 5 HGV Technicians and conduct repair and maintenance work on Volvo Trucks and Buses.

Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, you will collaborate with your night shift team to provide a variety of services for customers. This will consist mainly of Volvo Contract Repair and Maintenance work.

Additionally, you will:

1. Manage the nighttime workflow, liaising with your team
2. Manage the handover of work at the start and end of your shift
3. Communicate updates to customers where needed
4. Support the team with parts and ensure these are booked out correctly
5. Complete paperwork to a high-quality standard
6. Assist in MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
7. Ensure adherence to Volvo standards for vehicle repair and servicing
8. Contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient workshop environment
9. Support the team in achieving service excellence for all customers

About You

To be considered as an HGV Technician, you will need:

1. A City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
