Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group operates Acer House Care Home in Weston-super-Mare and is seeking a senior care assistant for night shifts. You will deliver personal care with the care team, monitor residents’ wellbeing, contribute to care plans and support medication administration.

The role also involves supervising staff, acting as the main contact for residents, relatives and health professionals, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care homes or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• DBS check required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care with the care team.
• Maintain a safe, caring and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and amend care plans and records when needs change.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly reviews.
• Support residents with their medication.
• Carry out staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.
• Elevate concerns or complaints when needed.
