Job summary

Greencore seeks a Section Leader for the Deli Red Nights shift in Spalding to lead factory activities, organise staff and ensure production plans are met. You will drive productivity, safety and quality across three facilities and the distribution centre, coordinating with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in food manufacturing, and a track record of delivering improvements while balancing retailer expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or section management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement.
• A solid understanding of retailer expectations and how we meet them.
• You’ll be a great leader, capable of inspiring and engaging your team, understanding the pressure of a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organise and control all activities within the factory.
• Assign and organise staff and manage productivity and performance.
• Ensure service levels and performance results are achieved.
• Walk the floor to manage start-up procedures and labour balance.
• Attend daily review meetings and team briefings.
• Audit daily technical paperwork and handover.
• Review productivity and NME losses to identify improvements.
• Identify training needs and manage delivery.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, coordinating with other functions.
