Job summary

Saw Operator role in Belfast for Optima UK Inc Ltd. Work on a permanent night shift, Sunday to Wednesday, 42 hours per week, starting 7:30pm. You will cut metal using saws and verify dimensions to customer specs, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Ideal candidates have metal processing experience, read cutting plans, and can work to tolerances while following safety rules. Excellent stability and long-term opportunity in a well-established manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery in metal processing or manufacturing.
• Experience with metal saws or cutting machinery.
• Ability to read drawings and cutting plans.
• Comfort with measurements, tolerances and specifications.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Reliable, organized and deadline-driven.
• Team player with health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program metal saws to cut material accurately.
• Check material specs: length, width, thickness, alloy and grain direction.
• Read cutting plans and drawings.
• Measure finished components with micrometers, calipers and tape.
• Carry out first-off and routine dimensional checks.
• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout production.
• Complete production and productivity records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised working environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
